BOWLS  ETIQUETTE

 

The following are guidelines to help maintain a friendly environment and to keep your bowling experience enjoyable.

 

When a player is on the mat ready to bowl, stand still well behind the mat and do not talk until the bowl has been delivered.

 

Always respect ownership of the mat and head until your opponents bowl comes to rest.

 

Any bowl that ends up in the ditch should be removed immediately and put in a safe place.

 

Any bowl that goes out of your rink should be removed carefully without disturbing players on the neighbouring rink.

 

Try to be aware of games taking place on other rinks. Move quickly from one end of your rink to the other end, stay in the middle of the rink when doing so.

 

Even when you are not bowling be aware of games that are in progress and keep out of the eye line of players who are about to bowl or stand still until they have delivered their bowl.

 

Remain still when at the head and when a bowl is about to be delivered.
